Who punched Dillon Danis during the brawl with the “Muslim Brotherhood”?

UFC 322 is finally over, and fans are still not able to process all the fights. What made this event so special was not only that it was the most stacked card of the year, but also how it played out. It was a highly entertaining card with some of the most exciting fighters in all divisions. However, the action was not only limited to the cage. A brawl broke out during the event, and it is now becoming the centre of attention after UFC president Dana White declared a lifetime ban on Dillon Danis for initiating the brawl with Team Islam, which he referred to as the “Muslim Brotherhood.”

    How it all started ?

According to reports from people attending the show, Dillon Danis was at the event on a spectator ticket and was not seated with the fighters. But during the fights, he started leaving his seat and going into close proximity to Islam Makhachev’s camp, and began exchanging verbal abuse. This made the whole situation get out of hand, and a huge brawl broke out, resulting in a lot of chaos. Punches were flying from both sides, and some members even threw chairs at each other.

While speaking to the media, Dana White said he had been informed about the situation beforehand, but he missed it because Dillon Danis was on a spectator ticket and had a dedicated seat allotted to him. He added that as soon as the brawl broke out, he already knew what had happened and what had caused it.

Now that things have settled down, a few videos have surfaced on Twitter showing a fighter from Team Khabib repeatedly landing shots on Dillon Danis’ head while security tried to separate them and control the brawl. The person has been identified as former UFC middleweight Omari Akhmedov.

Omari Akhmedov is a Russian professional mixed martial artist who competed in the UFC’s middleweight and lightweight divisions and now fights in the Professional Fighters League (PFL). Akhmedov has a professional record of 21-6-1 and is known for his finishing ability, with many of his wins coming by knockout or submission.

    Fans reaction

Fans on social media immediately started reacting to the chaos, with many saying the brawl ended up stealing attention from the actual fights. Twitter turned into a warzone of memes, arguments, and slow-motion breakdowns as people tried to figure out who threw the first punch. A lot of fans even called for stricter security at future UFC events, saying the situation escalated way too fast for a professional show of this scale.

In the aftermath of the incident, there’s already talk that the UFC may tighten its arena security protocols. The athletic commission is expected to review the footage to determine whether more penalties are needed. Some fighters and analysts expressed frustration, saying moments like this hurt the sport’s image at a time when the UFC is trying to distance itself from the old “anything goes” reputation.
